Ingredients
- 227g salted butter, room temperature
- 120g granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 480g all-purpose flour, sifted
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a mixer, cream together butter and sugar untill well incoporated.
- Mix in egg and vanilla extract untill well incoporated.
- Add flour in batches, mix untill well incoporate.
- Divide the dough in half, and roll to 5-6mm thickness between two sheets of parchment paper or ziplock bag.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 170 degree celsius.
- Cut out shapes using cookie cutters (and embossers, if any) and place them on a parchement paper or peforated mat lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 170 degree celsius for 15 - 20 minutes (for 3.0 inch size cookie)
- Remove cookies from baking sheet and place on a wire rack until cookies are cooled completely.
Notes
- This recipe makes about 22-24 pieces 3.0 inch cookies. You can scale up / down to what you need.
- Tailor the baking time to your liking; for a softer cookie, reduce the baking time and vice versa. Also adjust baking time based on cookie size & thickness.
